Booking terms

How booking, paying, travel and cancelling work with The Behaviour Hive.

Last updated: · Version 1.0

1. Who we are

The Behaviour Hive is the trading name of Velacor Ltd, registered in Ireland (company number 736368). Registered office: Unit C1, Nutgrove Office Park, Nutgrove Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14, D14 V5Y2. Practice: Donadea, Co. Kildare, W91 VY0T. Email info@thebehaviourhive.com or call 045 574 041.

2. The free call

The first 30-minute call is free, with no obligation. If you need to change or cancel it, use the link in your booking email or reply to it. No payment is ever taken on the call.

3. Prices and payment

  • Our prices are shown on our website and are the full price you pay.
  • We tell you the total before you agree to anything.
  • Each stage is paid before it starts, using the secure payment link we send you.
  • Organisations pay by invoice: purchase order first, then one invoice a month, payable within 30 days.

4. Travel

Home and school visits anywhere in Co. Kildare, and within 40 km of Donadea by road, include travel. Further away, we add mileage at 45c per km for the distance beyond 40 km, each way. We always tell you the cost before you book. In-person visits more than 80 km from Donadea by road are by arrangement. If you were already a client before 6 October 2026, your travel terms don't change.

5. What we do, and what we don't

  • We provide behaviour assessment, support plans, and support and mentoring for parents and caregivers.
  • We don't provide autism or ADHD diagnostic assessments.
  • We are not an emergency service. If your child or anyone else is in danger right now, call 999 or 112.
  • We can't promise particular results, because every child and family is different.

6. Online sessions

Online sessions run on Google Meet. You'll need a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and a reliable internet connection. Please join from somewhere private.

7. Confidentiality and safeguarding

What you tell us is confidential. We share information only with your consent, or where the law requires us to (for example, to keep a child safe under Children First). See our privacy notice.

8. Complaints

If you're unhappy with our service, please tell us first at info@thebehaviourhive.com. We'll reply within 5 working days and try to put it right. You can also contact the Psychological Society of Ireland or the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Our liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the service concerned, except where the law doesn't allow us to limit it.

10. The law

These terms are governed by Irish law. They don't affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation and refunds (1:1 session blocks)

1. Paying in stages

A 10-session block is paid in three stages: 4 sessions, then 3, then 3. A 6-session block is paid in two stages of 3. Each stage is paid before its first session. Single sessions are paid when you book them.

2. Stopping

You can stop at any time. Just tell us by email. We won't invoice any further stage, and you owe nothing more.

3. Sessions you've paid for but not used

These stay on your account as credit for 12 months from the date you paid for that stage. You can use them for later sessions, for a brother or sister, or towards another of our services.

4. Refunds

If you can't use your credit because you move away, because of illness, or because of a change in your child's care placement, we'll refund it. We work out the refund by charging the sessions you've had at the single-session price and refunding the rest of what you paid for that stage. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, within 14 days.

5. Moving or cancelling a session

Please give us at least 48 hours' notice. A session cancelled or missed with less than 48 hours' notice counts as used. We'll waive this once per block, no questions asked.

6. If we cancel

If we have to cancel a session, you can rebook it or have it refunded in full. Your choice.

7. Your 14-day right to cancel

If you book online or by phone, you can cancel within 14 days of booking. If you ask us to start sessions within those 14 days, you pay only for the sessions you've had, and we refund the rest of that stage.

These terms don't affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation and refunds (behaviour assessment and support plan)

1. Paying in stages

The behaviour assessment and support plan (€2,100) can be paid in full, or in three stages of €700. The assessment on its own (€1,850) can also be paid in full, or in three stages of €620, €615 and €615. Stages 1 and 2 are paid before they start. We invoice stage 3 after the last observation visit, and release the report once it's paid.

  • Stage 1: background information, caregiver interviews and the first observation visits.
  • Stage 2: the remaining observation visits and indirect measures.
  • Stage 3: the written report, the Behaviour Support Plan and the review session. For the assessment on its own, stage 3 is the written report and the review session.

2. Stopping

You can stop at any time. Just tell us by email. We won't invoice any further stage, and you owe nothing more. If you paid in full, we refund any stage that hasn't started.

3. A stage that has started

A stage that has started isn't refunded, because the work for it is under way.

4. Refunds

If you can't continue because you move away, because of illness, or because of a change in your child's care placement, we'll refund the part of the stage we haven't done. We work out the refund by charging the clinician hours already worked at the single-session price (€110 an hour) and refunding the rest of what you paid for that stage. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, within 14 days.

5. Moving a visit

Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to move a visit.

6. If we cancel

If we have to cancel a visit, we'll rebook it at a time that suits you.

7. Your 14-day right to cancel

If you book online or by phone, you can cancel within 14 days of booking. If you ask us to start within those 14 days, you pay only for the work done, charged as in point 4, and we refund the rest.

These terms don't affect your statutory rights.
